Hi,
my name is Kim Simon. My husband (Mike) and I co-founded The Powerlife
Project many years ago. We have been in full-time Christian ministry
for almost 25 years. During this time the Lord blessed us with three
wonderful children; now we have two grandchildren. The Lord has truly
blessed our lives and guided our footsteps in life and ministry.
This page (which will change form time to time) is my personal testimony
of
the transformational work the Lord has accomplished in our lives.
These are my "personal"
insights into life and ministry as revealed by a Christian mother, wife,
and church staff. The Lord has taken us on some wild and crazy journeys;
and we realize, our journey into the known and unknown is not finished.
We take nothing for granted, and we are still flexible in our understanding
how God works.
Just so you will know, my vocation is that of a licensed "hair
stylist." I am also an "educator" with Graham Webb International,
a leader in the hairdressing business for over 25 years. I am given
opportunity to travel to unique places, meet new people, and grow in
creative skills.
My hope is that you will be inspired and perhaps challenged (as I have
been) by what you see on this web site. Our lives have been radically
changed (transformed) by the Lord. This is our testimony! My prayer
is that the Lord will richly bless you and your family.
Merry
Christmas
During the Holidays can be the most depressing times. A lot of people really
feel loneliness, depression, despair, suicidal feelings. I think this happens
for a lot of reasons, but the main reason is the arch enemy of God can't stand
the
celebration of Jesus's birth. Christmas!!! It only reminds him of his defeat!!!
So
whether you are mentally, spiritually, or physically depressed, read
this story and be encouraged!!! Jesus is our Great Hope.
"Jesus
the Person" - Our Great Hope
Don't
let go of Jesus! Never let go of Jesus. No matter where the winds
of life blow you or paths of decisions or path of regret, or streets,
or different streets. Rebellious streets. Theft street, lying street,
drug street or whatever town or city you may find yourself in. Alcohol
town even Sin City, Bitter City, Adulteryland or Despairville.
Don't
let go of Jesus. Never let go of Jesus!!!
Don't
let go of Jesus in Religiousville, Legalism town, Philosophy street,
Goodworks city, Got-all-your-ducks-in-a-roll place. There's more
danger in these seemingly harmless places because the greatest danger
zone is closest to the target. Satan is the perfect example. He was
the lead angel, the worship leader of the Heavenly Choir.
There
is no safe place on this journey we call life. But there is an anchor
for our souls, JESUS. Hang on!!! Don't ever let go. He is a PERSON,
not an idea, not a belief, not a rule, not a good force, not a behavior,
not a thought pattern. Jesus is a REAL person...
Jesus
is like a life-saving flotation device that's always there bumping
up against you as you flow down the river of life. He's there whether
you grab hold of Him or not, BUT in order to be saved YOU must grab
hold and never let go. He's always available, but you must not take
any chances. Once you grab HIM, get a death grip!!! Life, circumstances,
people, sin, false security, satan, emotions, many many persons,
places and things will tempt you to let go, BUT DON'T DO IT!!!. The
Bible says Jesus is even greater than our own condemning hearts. Don't
let go!
Well,
Praise the LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm hanging on, and I'm hanging on
for dear life!
God
is bigger than my own condemning heart. That's good news!!!! That
gives me such HOPE. I hope that gives you HOPE.
Proverbs
3:1-12, The Message
Good friend, don't forget all I've taught you; take to heart my
commands. They'll help you live a long, long time, a long life lived
full and well. Don't lose your grip on Love and Loyalty. Tie them
around your neck; carve their initials on your heart. Earn a reputation
for living well in God's eyes and the eyes of the people.
Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out
everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you
do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track.
Don't assume that you know it all.
Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your
very bones will vibrate with life! Honor God with everything you
own; give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your
wine vats will brim over. But don't, dear friend, resent God's discipline;
don't sulk under his loving correction. It's the child he loves
that God corrects;a father's delight is behind all this. |
